Flybe to launch new routes : April 2012 : Upscale ‘all you can fly’ carrier prepares for takeoff

Thomson Airways is to offer more seats and new routes from Leeds Bradford airport.

According to last week’s press release, Thomson flights to Sharm el Sheik in Egypt will begin from the facility on Thursday 8 November whilst its winter service to the island getaway of Tenerife will launch on Friday 9 November with greater capacity than previous years.

Thomson’s customer service director Carl Gissing said in the press release, "We are delighted to announce a new, exclusive route from Leeds Bradford airport to Sharm el Sheikh and an increase in the number of seats available for our existing Tenerife route. The flights will also tie into our fly cruise programmes from Sharm el Sheikh and Tenerife”

He went on to say that the announcement showed the firm’s comitment to offering service to far-off holiday destinations from regional airports in the UK.

Leeds Bradford airport commercial head Tony Hallwood added, "Sharm El Sheikh and the fabulous Red Sea resorts offer excellent value money for holidaymakers and a high standard of accommodation for both beach and family holidays. We are sure the increase in seat capacity to the beautiful Spanish Island of Tenerife will prove a welcome addition to our existing Winter Sun selection".
